About The Photographer
Sarah Yankowiak is the photographer for Clear Sky Portrait. She lives in the town of Grand Rapids, MN with her husband and two daughters.
While photography has always been an interest of Sarah’s, it was the birth of her children that truly drew out the photographer in her.
“Having kids gave me a lot of incentive to pursue photography as a hobby. I wanted to take each moment of their lives and preserve it. I quickly decided that I wasn’t content with just a snapshot; I wanted the picture to tell a story and to evoke the emotion of that story. Over time, my hobby has grown into the joy of helping other individuals, couples, and families tell their story.”
Sarah’s experience includes individuals, newborns and babies, couples, and families of all ages and sizes. Sarah has recently ventured into wedding and special event photography. See her portfolios for examples of her work.
In addition to photography, Sarah enjoys living in northern Minnesota and taking advantage of the activities that this part of the state offers. She and her family try to find time to camp, hike, canoe, fish, and play hard. She also enjoys running, reading, and spending time with friends (over a cup of coffee, preferably!).
